We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.
Front Desk Coordinator
I graduated from the Atlanta College of Medical and Dental Assisting in 1980 and joined Dr. Stephens’s office in 1990 as her front desk coordinator. I have the great pleasure of greeting all our patients, keeping their records up to date, scheduling appointments, and discussing treatment plans. Also, it was a great priviledge to welcome Dr. Burrell to the practice when she joined us in 1993. Patient interaction is the best part of my job; I just love getting to know all the interesting people who come through our office!
I’ve been married for 31 years to my husband, a UPS tractor-trailer driver. We have two children and one son-in-law; our oldest daughter is a high school science teacher, our youngest is in dental school, and my son-in-law is a professional football player/engineer. I like building things, reading, watching a good movie, and working with my hands.
Office Financial Coordinator
I have recently joined the TDSGA team and am responsible for managing the financial aspect of our patients’ care, including coordinating accounts, collecting payments, and verifying insurance. Though I only recently joined Dr. Stephens’s office, I bring with me 15 years of experience in treatment planning and coordination. Our doctors are such amazing, spirit-driven people. We’re all like a family here and help to make each other’s days enjoyable.
I am originally from Alabama and came to Atlanta in 1998 to attend Clark Atlanta University. I enjoy reading, vacationing, and spending time with my boyfriend. I have two children, Kayla and Kase. We enjoy spending time together and hanging at the ball parks where they play baseball.
Registered Dental Hygienist
I enjoy helping others and making a difference, which is exactly what I do here at TDSGA. Since earning my A.S. degree in dental hygiene in 2002, I have worked to promote optimal oral health by providing prophylaxis, patient screening assessments, taking X-rays, applying preventive materials, and educating patients. I love encouraging patients to take control of their oral health, and feel so rewarded when I see my patients’ health improve.
I am a hardworking mother of two beautiful children and I love spending time with my family. Every day is a new adventure; enjoy it!
Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
I work alongside Dr. Stephens and Dr. Burrell to restore the oral health and the beautiful smiles of our patients. I began my dental career in high school and continued to receive expanded duties training from Gwinnett Technical College. I enjoy being a part of the team at TDSGA because we are a team of talented professionals who have a positive impact on our patients and our community.
I was born and raised in Decatur, and have lived here all my life. I enjoy singing for my patients at the office and singing for the Lord at church. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, and eating good food. I attend Georgia State University part-time and I’m an aspiring dentist!
I earned my Associate of Science in dental hygiene in 1999 and joined the TDSGA team in 2002. These past 14 years have been the best! Not only do I get to meet a variety of people and help them maintain a healthy smile, but I also get to work with a supportive, fun group of people. I really couldn’t ask for anything more!
I am married to my husband Joe. We have five boys together, two dogs, and one cat — a full house! We love animals and enjoy spending time together as a family outdoors.
Certified Dental Assistant
I graduated from Wayne County Community College with my dental assistant certificate in 1996 and then continued on to attend Jamestown University where I became certified for radiology. I love putting a smile on patient's faces by providing hope for a healthier mouth and brighter smile! Both doctors are great teachers and every day is an adventure.
I am a proud mother of two children and three grandchildren. When not in the office, I enjoy going to church, singing, and expanding my knowledge of dentistry.
Expanded Function Lead Dental Assistant
I recieved my Diploma in Dental Assisting from the Phillips College of Medical and Dental Careers. I then went on to receive my Restorative Expanded Functions Training Certificate and Certificate for Coronal Polishing from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Among the many hats I wear at TranscenDental, I prepare and assist the doctors and patients for daily procedures as weill as complete all expanded duties delegated to me. My favorite part of my job is interacting with my patients. Sharing life stories about friends, family and our jobs creates fun and laughter.
I am the mother of three wonderful adult children and the grandmother of three beautiful, loving grandchildren. My hobbies include home decorating and home improvements projects. I spend my leisure time watching old movies, sports, and spending time with my family. I also love walking because it’s great for my overall health, it’s stress free, and I get to enjoy what God has given us for free.
Internal Marketing Coordinator / Patient Coordinator
I've had the pleasure of being seeked out by the great Dr. Diane Stephens back in October of 2013 to join her team in making a difference in everyones' lives. As the IMC at TDSGA, I manage the marketing side of the business, including running the Facebook page and patient incentive programs, speaking with patients about their experiences, promoting team-building exercises, interacting with outside marketing companies, and keeping our website up to date. On the patient coordinator side, I schedule appointments, speak with patients about their treatment, and welcome new patients into the practice.
I consider it a privilege to work with Drs. Stephens and Burrell. I have learned so much. It’s amazing to see the patience and value they exude. My work family is a group of amazing young ladies, and each brings something special to the team that makes us a complete unit. Each person’s point of view and background makes us a diverse group of thinkers who work together for a common goal. Simply put, I love who we are!
I am an achieved military veteran who enjoys reading, being with loved ones, traveling, and going to sport events. I am continuing my education in marketing and computer engineering for the benefit of the practice. I am the second person in the family to serve my country and the first of five children. I consider myself to be a big helper!!! I enjoy tinkering, problem solving, and building things. I welcome any situation where I can learn a thing or two!
